Bill Morris founded MCP Ventures in 2010 in order to reestablish a retail real estate acquisition, development and consulting firm. Since formation, Bill has acquired 10 centers totaling over 1M square feet, raised over $46M in equity and secured $70M in debt.
In his 30-year career Bill has developed, re-developed and acquired over 3.1M square feet of shopping centers. Bill has also developed over 1M square feet of office/showroom space, acquired 660K square feet of existing office-tech space and purchased more than 2K acres of commercial land. Bill has secured over $720M for construction, acquisition and permanent financing, as well as raised over $200M in equity.
Bill was formerly the Chief Acquisition Officer and Senior Partner for Trademark Property Company. While at Trademark, he led the acquisition and re-development of the $164M La Palmera Mall, a 1M square foot enclosed mall in Corpus Christi, TX. The mall sold in 2013 for a large multiple on equity. Additionally, Bill helped formulate Trademark’s Land Investment Division and purchased over 824 acres at a total cost of $25M.
Bill was also the founding partner of Trinity Acquisition and Investments, a boutique retail acquisition and investment firm. During his 7 years as President, Bill acquired over 700K square feet of retail and office tech space in Texas. All the retail properties were sold in 2006 and 2007 and met or exceeded the original multiple projections.
Bill became passionate with commercial real estate in high school where he worked on the redevelopment of Downtown Fort Worth and Sundance Square. Here, he was able to witness the early evolution of The Bass Family’s vision.
Bill is involved in several charitable organizations and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Bill holds an M.B.A. from Texas Christian University and a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
